Discover XECARB® PPA-CF, the filament developed on a bio-sourced PPA polymer base and reinforced with 20% carbon fibre.
This material combines high mechanical and thermal performance, dimensional stability and chemical resistance, enabling the production of lightweight, durable, and functional parts for automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications.
POLYMER BASE
The PPA is a high-performance modified polyamide known for its outstanding thermal, mechanical and chemical properties. Being bio-based, the PPA used for this filament ensures high performance while offering a more sustainable solution.
Renowned for its remarkable heat resistance, it ensures dimensional stability even in high-temperature environments. Additionally, its superior chemical resistance allows PPA to withstand a wide variety of solvents, oils and greases, which is essential in industries where chemical compatibility is a requirement.

CARBON FIBRE REINFORCEMENT
With 20% carbon fibre reinforcement, PPA exhibits significantly increased stiffness and tensile strength, while maintaining its lightweight nature.
The fibre also enhances dimensional stability, reducing shrinkage and thermal expansion, and improves the durability of the material, making it particularly suited for demanding functional components in sectors such as automotive, aerospace and industrial applications, where high performance under mechanical stress and high temperature resistance (it presents an HDT of 205°C) are essential.
